Some days you want to see more than the beach. Our jeep safari takes you from the coast up into the Taurus Mountains in a convoy of open 4×4 jeeps, along forest tracks and past banana plantations, with an experienced local driver at the wheel of every jeep. You don’t drive yourself – you sit back, hold on and enjoy the scenery.
Mountain tracks, a village and the big view
The first off-road section climbs through pine forest to a viewpoint where Alanya’s castle peninsula and the bay lie far below you – the photo most guests take home from the day. Further inland the convoy stops in a traditional mountain village, a glimpse of a slower, rural Turkey that is only a short drive from the hotels but feels a world away.
Lunch and a swim at the Dim River
At midday the jeeps reach the Dim River (Dimçayı), where lunch is served at a restaurant on the riverbank. Afterwards there is time to swim in the clear, cool water, a refreshing change from the warm sea. On the way back the water fights begin: the jeeps splash each other whenever they meet, so dress for getting wet and keep your phone in a waterproof bag.
Pickup, prices and who it suits
Pickup is around 09:00 from hotels in Alanya, Mahmutlar, Kestel, Oba, Konakli, Turkler, Avsallar, Incekum and Okurcalar, and you are back at about 17:00. Adults pay €26, children aged 3–11 €15 and under-3s travel free. The tracks are bumpy, so the trip is not recommended during pregnancy or for guests with back problems. Want a canyon walk as well? Look at the Sapadere Canyon jeep safari, or see the mountains at sunset on the Alanya night safari.

Frequently asked questions
Do guests drive the jeeps?
No – local drivers who know the tracks sit at the wheel, so you can watch the scenery and hold on.
Is it OK to bring young children?
Yes, kids usually love the bumps and the splashing. Under-3s are free and ages 3–11 pay €15. We don't recommend it during pregnancy or with back problems.
How cold is the Dim River?
Pleasantly cool even in midsummer – perfect after lunch. Bring swimwear and a towel.
How wet will we get?
That depends on how hard your jeep fights back! The water battles on the final stretch soak most people, so wear quick-drying clothes and seal your phone away.
