Not every boat trip needs a DJ. On our fishing trip you head out on a local boat with a captain who has fished this coast for years, a fish finder on the console and rods, bait and tackle for everyone. No licence and no experience are needed – the crew shows beginners how to bait a hook and when to strike, and the old hands just get on with it.
How the morning goes
After pickup you board in the harbour, get a short safety briefing and head for the first fishing grounds. The captain moves between spots depending on what the screen shows. Around the middle of the trip the boat anchors in Fuğla Bay for a swim in clear water, and lunch – grilled fish or chicken with salad and rice – is prepared on board, with soft drinks and water included. Dolphins are seen now and then on the way.
What you can expect to catch
Honesty first: off Alanya you mostly catch smaller Mediterranean fish such as sea bream and other reef fish, and big fish are rare. The trip is about the experience, not a trophy. Whatever you catch you may keep – bring a cool bag – and the crew is happy to tell you how to cook it. Keen anglers can ask us about deep-sea fishing for small groups of four or five, at an extra charge.
Departures and pickup
There are two departures a day: in the morning with pickup around 08:30, and in the afternoon with pickup around 13:30. We collect you from hotels in Alanya, Mahmutlar, Kestel, Oba, Konakli, Turkler, Avsallar and Okurcalar. There is a toilet and a shower on board; snorkelling gear is not provided, so bring your own mask if you want to look under water.

Frequently asked questions
I've never held a rod – can I still join?
Absolutely. Everything is supplied, no permit is required and the crew shows beginners how to bait, cast and reel in.
What might bite?
Mainly smaller Mediterranean fish such as sea bream and other reef species. Big fish are uncommon in these waters, so come for the day at sea and treat a good catch as a bonus.
Do we get to take the fish home?
Yes, whatever you catch is yours. The crew will happily explain how to clean and cook it – a cool bag helps.
What about deep-sea fishing?
We can organise it on request for four or five people, at an extra cost. Get in touch for a price.
