Lion Park & Mini Zoo – a Half-Day Animal Morning near Side

Small children rarely enjoy a ten-hour excursion – but a morning with lions they will remember. This half-day trip runs on Wednesdays and Sundays and keeps things short and sweet: an air-conditioned minibus picks you up at around 08:30, you spend the morning at the Lion Park and its mini zoo, and you are back at your hotel between 13:00 and 13:30, in time for lunch and the pool.

Meeting the lions

At the park a multilingual host welcomes the group and runs through a few safety rules before leading you to the lion families. Along the way you hear how the animals are looked after: the park also gives a home to rescued animals, and vets check on them regularly. Some paths run over natural ground, so closed shoes are a good idea.

Feeding time

For most children the best moment comes at around 10:30, when keepers hand out food and everyone can feed the friendly animals – deer, raccoons, ostriches and others – under their eye. Afterwards there is free time to wander, sit in the shaded rest areas, try the photo corners or browse the souvenir shop.

Extras you pay on the spot

A few add-ons are available inside the park and paid in cash: photos and video with lion cubs on your own phone (€15), a short camel ride (€10), a photo with a monkey (€10) or with a parrot (€5). None of them is required – the entrance ticket and the host’s tour are already included.

Prices and practical tips

Adults pay €75, children aged 3–11 €60, and under-3s €10. Bring an ID or passport, as the park registers visitors, plus sunscreen, a hat and a little cash for extras. If you want a full day that combines the lions with a jeep ride, a boat trip and lunch, choose the Lion Park and jeep safari; for another gentle family morning, the Manavgat river cruise is a good match.
