About Kumköy
Kumköy means ‘sand village’, and sand is what it has: a broad beach that begins where Side’s old town ends and carries on west towards Evrenseki. Behind it runs one long street of shops, bars and restaurants that stays busy well into the evening. Stroll east along the shore for half an hour or so and you are among Side’s columns; a dolmuş does it in a few minutes.
Good tours from Kumköy
Being next door to Side puts the west of the region within easy reach. On Mondays and Thursdays the Manavgat river cruise combines the boats with the bazaar; the cabrio safari is the relaxed way into the Green Canyon, and The Land of Legends in Belek is a short drive west. For a long day of history, the Demre, Myra and Kekova tour runs on Wednesdays and Sundays, and the horse riding has a free transfer from here.
Pickup in Kumköy
Many Kumköy hotels stand along the same street, so the bus collects several in a row. Your time is confirmed after booking – if you’re outside when it pulls up, everyone gets away on schedule.
